T\u00fcrk\u00e7e kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan da tahmin edilebilece\u011fi gibi \u015fu anda ya\u015fanan olaylar\u0131 anlat\u0131r.  Konu\u015fma s\u0131ras\u0131nda ger\u00e7ekle\u015fen eylemleri, uzun s\u00fcreden beri devam eden olaylar\u0131, de\u011fi\u015fen\/de\u011fi\u015fmekte olan duurmlar\u0131 ifade etmek i\u00e7in Present Continous Tense vard\u0131r. \u015eimdiki zaman, bazen gelecek zamandaki olaylar\u0131 ifade etmek i\u00e7in de kullan\u0131labilir. Bu durumda c\u00fcmle yap\u0131 olarak \u015eimdiki zaman gibi g\u00f6r\u00fcnse de gelecek zaman\u0131 ifade eder. Ayr\u0131ca, ay\u0131rt edici olarak c\u00fcmle yap\u0131s\u0131nda gelecek zamana ait zaman zarf\u0131 da olabilir. C\u00fcmle kurulumunda ise &#8220;am-is&#8221;are&#8221; dan sonra gelen fiil &#8220;-ing&#8221; tak\u0131s\u0131 al\u0131r. Fiilin son harfi &#8220;-ing&#8221; tak\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n nas\u0131l yaz\u0131laca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirler. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Fiilin sonunda bir sessiz harf + -e varsa, sondaki &#8220;e&#8221; harfi d\u00fc\u015fer ve &#8220;-ing&#8221; eklenir.   Dance&gt; Dancing.<\/li><li>Fiilin sonunda bir sesli + bir sessiz harf varsa sessiz harf \u00e7ift yaz\u0131l\u0131r ve \u2013 ing eklenir.   Cut&gt;Cutting.<\/li><li>Yukar\u0131daki kural &#8220;w, y ex&#8221; harfleri \u00e7in ge\u00e7erli de\u011fildir. Bu harfler \u00e7ift yaz\u0131lmaz. Snow&gt; Snowing.<\/li><li>Fiilde iki sesli + bir sessiz harf varsa -ing oldu\u011fu gibi eklenir ancak sessiz harf \u00e7ift yaz\u0131lmaz. Sing&gt; Singing. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Bu kurallara ek olarak bilinmesi gereken bir kural da \u0130ngilizce&#8217;de her fiil &#8220;-ing&#8221; tak\u0131s\u0131 almad\u0131\u011f\u0131d\u0131r. Bu fiiler  State Verbs olarak da adland\u0131r\u0131l\u0131r. Durum fiilleri  anlam olarak \u015fimdiki zaman\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131yor olsa da \u015fimdiki zaman c\u00fcmle yap\u0131s\u0131yla &#8220;ing&#8221; tak\u0131s\u0131 eklenerek kullan\u0131lmas\u0131 do\u011fru de\u011fildir. Bu kural\u0131n en net bilinen \u00f6rne\u011fi &#8220;I love you&#8221; c\u00fcmlesidir. T\u00fcrk\u00e7e&#8217;de &#8220;Seni seviyorum&#8221; olarak ifade edilen bu c\u00fcmle d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc gibi &#8220;-ing&#8221; tak\u0131s\u0131 almaz. \u0130ngilizce dil yap\u0131s\u0131na g\u00f6re sevmek ve di\u011fer durum belirten fiiller &#8220;-ing&#8221; eki ile kullan\u0131lmaz.
